Please note: the chart above lists the general recommendations for each tool, but there may be exceptions. For example, Grabbers and Y-Chews are generally recommended for about the age of 2.5 years and up (before which there's the Baby Grabber which has a shorter stem). However, many children under 2.5 years can and do use them, they just learn to not to put the extension back too far in their mouths.
Also, although all of our oral sensory chews come in XXT (our toughest chew level), not all shapes are necessarily a good fit for avid chewing. Geometry plays an important role, too. So for example, the Saber Tooth comes in XXT but is not recommended for avid/aggressive chewing (if you want the longest lasting option) because it has a narrow tip that some avid chewers may be able to chew through fairly quickly. Overall, the Y-Chew XXT is typically the longest lasting chew for avid chewing because it has 3 different extensions to chew on.
For the most specific recommendations per product, it's best to check out the descriptions and features on each product page.
For even more background and information on choosing the right chew tool, see our Chewing Guide.
If you need help narrowing things down further, please get in touch via the form below or directly to info@SensorySouk.com with the person's age and their chewing habits and preferences (what do they currently like to chew on, do they chew through or cause any damage to those things, etc.). We'd be happy to help!
